And under Civil Code section 1101.4, a permitted improvement to a single-family home built and available for occupancy on or before January 1, 1994 requires every non-compliant plumbing fixture in the house to be replaced as a condition of final approval, not only the ones in the kitchen. Whether that applies depends on the age of your house, and we check it before we price the job rather than after.
